Earlier this year I met up with a lovely young man who is working on a wonderful project, and this is what happened.

Ever since I learned about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) I’ve been a devoted fan and supporter of the concept. I love this alternative way of growing and eating food that connects local farmers with eaters in a small-scale, sustainable way that is beneficial for the farmer, the consumer and the environment. For two summers I enjoyed a wonderful vegetable CSA with Roots and Shoots Farm and I’m eagerly looking forward to my fourth season as a member of the Grazing Days CSA.
So when I learned that there are also herbal CSAs (sometimes called Community Supported Herbalism or Medicine {CSH or CSM}) it made complete sense to me and I knew it was a wonderful idea; so wonderful in fact that I was inspired to start one myself! I’ve been dreaming, planning and working on a wild food and herb CSA for months. I’ve been gathering plants and making special creations and setting them aside especially for CSA members. I’m so excited to share this with the community and to share the plants and the knowledge of their uses with others. To learn about the the Wild Food and Herb CSA or to sign up, visit here. |
