May: The Achy Breaky Box

Everybody cries
Everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes."

Bumps, bruises, sprains, strains and spasms. Minor injuries, aches and pains happen to us all eventually. This month's box will explore natural, herbal remedies that can ease pain, cool inflammation, take down swelling and speed the healing of soft tissue and skeletal injuries. Learn how to use soaks, rubs, liniments and fomentations as you meet horsetail, comfrey, crampbark, willow, cottonwood and other local, bioregional herbs. The preparations in your box will be reliable and safe alternatives to over the counter NSAID medications, so you can support the body's healing process without harmful side effects. If you've ever pulled a muscle, turned an ankle, bashed a knee or gotten a crick in your neck, this box is for you!
Boxes are offered with sliding scale prices. To learn more about sliding scale pricing, please read this post. But basically, in a nut shell (pun intended!), I invite you to pay one of the reduced fees, if paying the full price would cause you to be less secure in your ability to meet your food, health, housing or essential transport needs. To determine where you fall on the scale when choosing which price to pay, please refer to this infographic created by Alexis J. Cunningfolk (Click image to enlarge).
