Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What does sliding scale pricing mean?
A: The products and services offered by the Wild Garden are listed with variable prices. The customer chooses the price they can afford to pay. For more detailed information on sliding scale prices, click here.
Q: Are substitutions available for products in your monthly herbal box?
A: Unfortunately I can not make substitutions as it is simply too labour intensive and time consuming. If you receive a product that you do not wish to use, consider gifting it to someone!
Q: Is it possible to receive my box earlier than the date listed on the website?
A: No. It takes about 1.5 to 2 weeks to put together the boxes. Tinctures need to be formulated and poured, teas blended and packaged, labels printed and applied, and the newsletter written. Over the years I have created a pretty efficient assembly line system to get the boxes ready by the date listed on the website, but it is not possible to have a box ready before that date.
Q: When will I know that my box is ready for pick up?
A: You will receive an email on the day that the box is ready with detailed instructions about how to pick up your box. Please note that some of the items may be sensitive to temperature fluctuations and/or require refrigeration, and it's best to pick up your box as soon as possible.
Q: If I sign up for a 3 month subscription, can I choose which months I want to receive the box?
A: If you sign up for the 3 month subscription you will receive them consecutively. Administratively it is too much work for me to keep track of otherwise.
Q: I received your box and one of the glass bottles was broken. What do I do now?
A: So sorry about that! Me and my helpers do our best to package everything securely, but if you find something broken in your box, send me an email and I will replace it right away with the same item or another of equal value.
Q: Are your products organic?
A: Almost all the herbs I work with I grow and gather myself on Just Food's certified organic farm. I occasionally wildcraft herbs from other sites that are free of contamination and pesticide/herbicide use. Whenever possible all other ingredients I use for my products are fair trade and organic. I also buy from local producers and suppliers whenever I can!
