April: The Seasonal Allergies Box
"Herbs for allergies are some of the best home remedies for allergies. They provide natural allergy relief in various ways. They can support the immune system to decrease overall symptoms and they can block histamine and reduce the symptoms during an acute stage of seasonal allergies. Herbs for allergies, along with diet and lifestyle changes can be the best forms of organic allergy relief." ~Rosalee de la Foret
A beautiful field of wildflowers can be a source of delight or misery depending on whether someone has seasonal allergies or not. For those who do suffer, being outside at certain times of the year is NOT a pleasant experience of fresh air and the great outdoors. At least not without medication!
While conventional antihistamines can certainly alleviate symptoms temporarily, they do nothing to address the underlying inflammatory response of the immune system that causes itchy, watery eyes, sneezing, congested sinuses, post-nasal drip and all the other unpleasant effects of seasonal allergies.
April's box will take a look at ways you can work with herbs to support healthy immune function and calm inflammation. Allergy season doesn't have to be inevitable!

Boxes are offered with sliding scale prices. To learn more about sliding scale pricing, please read this post. But basically, in a nut shell (pun intended!), I invite you to pay one of the reduced fees, if paying the full price would cause you to be less secure in your ability to meet your food, health, housing or essential transport needs. To determine where you fall on the scale when choosing which price to pay, please refer to this infographic created by Alexis J. Cunningfolk (Click image to enlarge).
